Sonos announced the purchase of revolutionary transducer technology company Mayht Holding BV.
Mayht, based in the Netherlands, has developed advanced audio transducers enabling more compact and efficient speaker designs.
The acquisition, valued at about $100 million, was made with Sonos's existing cash reserves.
Sonos CEO Patrick Spence expressed that the acquisition will accelerate their product roadmaps and strengthen Sonos's market position.
Further acquisition details will be discussed in Sonos's Q2 earnings call in May.
