Mux Introduces Economical Starter Plan

Mux announced a new budget-friendly Starter pricing plan at $10/month for $100 worth of video usage.

Starter Plan aims to make video less expensive and promote development and experimentation among solo developers, product managers, startups, and Pay as you go customers.

New pricing levers were added by Mux including resolution-based pricing, baseline encoding, and Automatic Cold Storage to provide cost flexibility.

Starter Plan does not limit features, instead it allows seamless transition to Pay as you go rates if usage exceeds $100.

The introduction of the Starter Plan stems from Mux’s desire to empower more developers to innovate with video without worrying about high costs.
