Expo introduced a preview of their new highly customizable build process for their EAS Build service.
Developers can now replace certain build steps or entire processes, allowing for builds for various platforms and running test suites.
Customization is achieved through a YML configuration file and can reuse existing EAS build steps or define new ones.
The feature is currently in preview with expected General Availability (GA) by late 2023 or early 2024; pricing model adjustments to follow.
Feedback is being solicited on several dimensions to refine the service before its GA.
